## About the game
**Shard Isles: Prototype** is a small top-down / isometric action game built in **Unreal Engine 5.6**.
You control a single hero with **click-to-move** controls and complete simple **quests** across a short series of levels. This project is my first shipped prototype, created as part of my Unreal Engine learning journey.
The goal of this upload is not to present a polished commercial game, but to have:
- a **fully playable** start-to-finish experience,
- packaged as a standalone **Windows .exe**,

## Features
- 🧭 **Click-to-move movement**
- No WASD – you move the character by clicking on the ground.
- 🗺️ **6 short hand-made levels**
- Linear progression with increasing complexity.
- 📜 **Quest pop-ups**
- Simple on-screen quest information / hints.
- ⏸️ **Pause & Main Menu**
- Pause the game and return to the Main Menu at any time.
This is a **prototype** – expect rough edges, but the whole thing is playable from start to (almost) finish.

- **Left Mouse Button** – Move to clicked location when choosen.

- ⚠️ **Prototype quality**
- 🔧 **Under active learning & improvement**
Expect:
- Some UI alignment issues on different resolutions.
- Occasional rough edges in level design.
- Simple, functional visuals and feedback.

## Known issues (current build)
- Falling off the last level may not always trigger a proper “death” / respawn sequence yet.
- Quest UI panels may appear slightly off-screen or clipped at some resolutions.
- Balancing and pacing are not final – this is a learning prototype, not a tuned experience.
These issues will be addressed in future small updates (0.1.x).

Install instructions
2. Extract it to a folder of your choice.
3. Run `TheProjects_2.exe` (or the game `.exe` file) inside the folder.
4. Play!
No installation is required – it is a simple standalone Windows build
